Over the last 3 weeks I have aquired three things that I think are pretty neat. Mostly, I guess, you'd just have to be me to think so. So here they are:
1. This pillow!
I found it while shopping at a junk an antique store. It doesn't look like much, kinda worn and all. Someone cut an old quilt apart and used this to make a pillow. I got it because of this:
My grandmother's quilt from the 40's. It is now hanging in the corner of my bedroom and this pillow will be on the bed. (For my weekend Snapshot friends, this is the end, unless you want to read about the
2.
My sister and I have employed the strikethrough for years. We didn't know it was called a strikethrough, though that makes perfect sense. Whenever we went on vacation we would send each other postcards that went like this:
Dear Sis,
We are having so much fun here.
Imagine my delite when I started blogging in November past and found that the strikethrough was here! At Rusty's blog, the strikethrough is simply a choice to click like b for bold. But here I couldn't find anything to click. You may remember that I am a point and grunt type technology person. If I can't point at it and click it, well, whatever it, it is lost to me. However, I have the Blogging for Dummies book checked out of the library. I checked it out for another two weeks. In there I found the secret to the
I know, I am easily amused.
3. Nutella!! YUM I've seen this stuff on the shelves at the store and read about it, but never tried it. Well, I can't believe all the wasted time! It is wonderful on whole wheat toast for breakfast. This is not one of those paid advertisements either. This stuff is good, chocolate and hazelnuts, what's not to love.
(Note to self: better not buy this very often. It is way too good to be anywhere close to healthy to eat!)

That prairie girl pillow is beautiful. Is it a Holly Hobbie? So is the Nutella!
The pillow is great and what a find to go with your grandmother's quilt.
I LOVE Nutella...we eat it on crepes with bananas too. :)
Your grandmother's quilt is so lovely! I would love to own that too! I'm trying to find the pattern on the net to try and make one myself.
I love Nutella. I'm a chocoholic.
I love nutella! Ciao! ... mine's up too!
I really enjoy items that have been made and used by people from years ago. They seem "alive" to me and add a special dimension to life that store-bought stuff just doesn't have. I've never had Nutella, but it sounds delicious. Actually chocolate and hazelnuts are good for you! Well, in moderation (like all good things) that is...
That's a cute pillow and it's nice that you found it because it matches your grandmother's quilt.
I have to try that Nutella.
My kids love nutella too. And the pillow is beautiful. THanks for dropping by. Have a nice day.
I make pillows too but not quilt. I do them in cross stitch and hardanger embroidery and I give them as gifts to my friends. Your pillow is pretty and does not look worn out. Happy WS.
What a lovely pillow, and it goes so well with your grandmother's quilt.
pretty please, how do you get strikethrough?
such a cute pillow! ... the strikethrough fascinates me, too! about the nutella ... i'm the only one in the family loves it (am so happy, there's no competition! LOL)!!!
I love Nutella too me and my 4 year old son will eat all the time lol.
Thanks for dropping by!
That strikethrough story is cute. :)
nice
Initially was addicted to the strikethough, because it tickled me so much. I've eased up a little.
My daughter LOVES Nutella. She and a girl from Mexico exchange beloved treats. The Mexican girl had never had peanut butter (can you imagine) and my girl Nutella. I thought it was a cute swap.
the pillow is a good buy!
i'm also fond of using strikethroughs hehe. it's really amusing.
i think i must try nutella. i'll take your word for it!
i love the quilt...unlike eastcoastlife i cannot make one myself :(
Interesting facts and a lovely quilt.
The pillow and quilt are so adorable. I love stuff like that. I had Nutella for the first time last year (mostly because I saw it on Giada's show on Food network--she made it sound so good). I didn't know anything about strikethroughs until I saw them on blogs and I think they are so witty and clever. I use them a lot now.

I love the pillow it is reminds me of my grandmother's quilt. I need to check out the blog for dummies so that I can learn how to strike through! Have a Great Day!
So, did I miss the directions for the strikethrough?
wow the quilt has lasted such a long time
I think I am going to have try some Nutella. I have been meaning to for awhile.
I have a pillow sham with a little sunbonnet girl. My Mom actually made it to go with my long gone crib quilt when I was a baby.
Sunbonnet Sue is my favorite appliqued quilt pattern I think.
