As you know, school children go on at least one fieldtrip per year. One year our first grade went to the Zoo. The next day I asked my kiddos what they liked most about the trip. This is the one answer I will never forget. One little girl said, "I liked them big, pink chickens." She then displayed the picture she had drawn of the flamingos.

Flamingos are an interesting bird....standing on one leg and the other underneath them. They actually don't even look like legs.
Flamingos are pretty and all that but their enclosure at the Wild Animal Park smells terrible! ;-)

Pink chickens! Choice! I have a picture of one of them pink chickens on my bedroom door, drawn by one of my kids. (My baby is almost 28, so it has been there a long time.)
