My Shoulder Hurts

For the last three weeks my shoulder and the base of my neck had absolutely killed me. I couldn't sleep, couldn't drive safely uh, couldn't easily turn to see out the side window of the car, couldn't, couldn't, couldn't. I was sooooo afraid that I had a slipped or bulged disc in my neck.

In 1994 I blew a disc in my lower back and ended up having surgery to relieve the pain. Twenty-five percent of my L5 was removed. Since then everything has been well with the world or with my back anyway. But there is always that nagging little worry lurking in the background if anything back there hurts.

As this pain in my shoulder, by my shoulder blade over to the back of my arm and up to the base of my neck, was getting worse, not showing any signs of going away, I broke down, skipped school yesterday, and went to see the doctor. He said I had a cute tortilini. I said, "Why thank you." No really he said I had acute torticollis, which boiled down to a crick in my neck. He gave me some prescriptions, which I have been VERY happy with and sent me to the chiropractor.

Today the chiropractor did the x-ray thing and found that I had two pinched nerves. While not pleasant it is, in my book, but a whole bunch better than a slipped or bulged disc! The amount of relief just knowing this is tremendous.

Here is an actual picture of my pinched nerve:
